- We were Soldiers Once...And Young: Ia Drang--The Battle That Changed The War In Vietnam
-
- Harold G. Moore
- Way better than the oversentimental schlock of the movie, this book takes us back to a time when we were a nation at war and the consequences of our leaders' actions through the eyes of a young combat journalist. Reads like current events.

- Bolt Thrower
- The war machine grinds on...with chuffer production, piercing solos, and relentless double-bass maelstrom. And you thought a full load of wet t-shirts was heavy.

- Goddamn this was a really good movie. Sentimental as all hell, but then again so was BlackHawk Down. The guns and special effects (like planes and bullet squibs...Go Koreans!) don't overwhelm "a heartwarming tale about what happens when you government is a complete and total asshole who takes you away from your home and family and forces you to kill without even having any decent food."
